What we collect

When you sign up or ask a question we collect the details you give us: your name, email, mobile, service address, postcode, plan, gate code and any special instructions, plus questions you send through our contact form. We use these to provide your bin service, send service updates and manage your account.

Signing in

You can create a password or sign in with Google. If you use Google, we receive your name and email address from Google; we never see your Google password.

Your bin collection day

To find your council bin day we match your street address against Brisbane City Council's published waste collection data. Only the address is used for this lookup. If we can't match it, our team confirms your day manually before your first service.

Service photos

Our team may photograph your bins at the kerb or back in place after each visit, which may show part of your property. These photos are stored with your service history, can be viewed in your account, and are used only to confirm the service was done.

Service text messages

We send service-related SMS messages to your mobile, such as visit updates and payment notices if a card payment fails. We keep a record of messages sent to your account.

Payments

Card details are entered directly with our payment provider, Stripe. Binster never sees or stores your full card number.

Optional signup reminder emails

If you start signing up but don't finish, we only email you a reminder if you ticked the optional box "Email me a reminder if I don't finish signing up". The box is unticked by default. We record when you gave this permission. You'll receive at most two reminders, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.

Website analytics

We measure how visitors use our website (for example, which pages are viewed, which suburb page you arrived from, and whether you came from Facebook, Google or another site) using a random identifier stored in your browser, plus Microsoft Clarity. This helps us improve the signup process. It does not identify you by name unless you choose to give us your details.

Sharing

We don't sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run Binster, such as Stripe (payments), ClickSend (SMS), our email provider, ChartMogul (subscription revenue reporting), Microsoft Clarity (website analytics) and our hosting provider.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw reminder consent, by contacting us or emailing hello@binster.com.au.
